BACKPLANE Systems has announced a 15" LCD display for Digital-Logic's compact Microspace-PC series. The monitor has been designed to mount on the Microspace-PC to create a compact unit.
This screen is based on a TFT active matrix display and has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels with 256 colours. The display brightness is 200cd/m2 and the screen has an LCD module with a contrast ratio of 250:1.
The Microspace-PC is one of the smallest and quietest PCs available. It is based on a fast 700MHz Pentium III or Celeron processor and is equipped with 128MB or 256MB memory respectively.
The PC is equipped with a 2.5" hard disk with a minimum 20GB capacity and a CD or DVD drive. Additional peripheral devices can be connected via the USB or Firewire-IEEE1394 interfaces.
The display weighs approximately 2.9kg and measures 387mm x 330mm x 175mm; it has a stable foot which can be mounted on the housing of the Microspace-PC, turning the LCD screen and PC into an efficient unit.
The compact PC and display is suitable for use in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications, including laboratories, banks and hospitals.
With its reduced depth, and slim, lightweight design, the PC/screen unit can be used in even the most confined spaces.
