BACKPLANE Systems Technology has announced the release of InduKey's latest industrial keyboard featuring an integrated radio transmission function, the TKS-105a-RF-KGEH.
This new input device has been designed with a robust enclosure to meet the needs of industrial applications.
The keyboard's built-in transmitter is powered by two AA batteries and features a power consumption rate of <25μA (standby).
The standby time is approximately 12000h and transmission can be enabled for distances up to 10 metres without the need for cabling. This keyboard is also equipped with a radio receiver module.
The TKS-105a-RF-KGEH has been developed with 105 high quality Omron short-travel keys, exhibiting an actuation force of 2.6N at a switch travel of 0.3mm, so the user will feel a "click" when pressing the button. The keyboard is available with a PS/2 interface.
The front cover is made from a special polyester foil developed for keyboard applications. The user-friendly multicoloured print on the foil is easily visible, differentiating the numeric, alphabetical and function keys. The dimensions of the keyboard are 480 x 182 x 34mm.
The keyboard casing features a sealed aluminium base-plate and foil surface that offers resistance to dust and liquid (IP65). The high protection level allows for operation in very dusty and wet environments such as manufacturing or medical applications.
