InduProof-Med antimicrobial IP68 keyboard and mouse for medical applications available from Backplane Systems Technology
The InduProof-Med antimicrobial IP68 keyboard
have announced the release of InduKey’s InduProof-Med keyboard and
mouse for medical applications. The InduProof-Med keyboard has been designed to combat the problem area of germs and pathogens.
The InduProof-Med is one of the optimal solutions in minimising the risk of hygiene-acquired infections in medical applications. One of the key features is the presence of an antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of germs.
One of the problems for conventional keyboards used in the medical field lies in their construction especially the space between the keys and the housing tray as they offer an ideal living area for germs. In addition, when these keyboards are used regularly, germs may be transferred onto the surface or be picked up and spread by the operator.
These keyboards are covered with silicone and have a protection rating of IP68. This means that the devices are completely waterproof and dust-free and can be cleaned and disinfected.
In addition to the keyboard, a silicone mouse, the InduMouse-Med is available, which has the same characteristics as the keyboard. The optical scanning feature ensures that the mouse is completely waterproof as well as dust free.
