BACKPLANE Systems Technology has announced the release of its embedded 3.5" CPU module, the ICOP-6047.
This SBC is powered by a Vortex86 166MHz System-On-Chip technology providing equivalent performance of a Pentium processor with integrated support for CRT/LCD, UDMA IDE, floppy and I/O peripherals.
Vortex86 technology provides high performance processing capabilities with low power consumption and low heat dissipation. These features make the ICOP-6047 suitable for a range of embedded applications.
The board has been designed to be compatible with popular embedded operating system software packages.
The ICOP-6047 supports 128MB SDRAM onboard, DiskOnChip and an optional CompactFlash on the rear side of the board. The VGA interface offers CRT/LCD output, a resolution of 1920x1440 true colours and shared system memory up to 128MB.
The Ethernet interface features Realtek 8100B on a single chip and provides a throughput of 10/100Mbps for fast communication. The onboard audio is fully compliant with AC97 CODEC V2.1.
The ICOP-6047 is I/O intensive and offers support for a range of peripherals including VGA, keyboard/mouse, three RS232, one RS485, parallel, floppy, hard drive and USB ports.
The operating temperature range of -20ºC to +60ºC single voltage power requirement of +5V @ 1.6A makes this compact module suited to a range of embedded applications.
