Backplane Systems Technology announces the release of a new range of rugged tablet PCs for field applications.
Ubiqconn's T70C features a 7" LED backlit screen with integrated 5-wire resistive touch screen offering a display brightness of 400nits with optional 500nits sunlight readable functionality for outdoor applications.
The rugged tablet PCs are based on Intel's Atom N2600 1.6GHz Dual Core CPU and include 2GB of DDR3 SODIM and 32GB of upgradeable SATA Solid State Disk. The hot-swappable dual batteries offer up to eight hours of battery life.
The T70C meets the MIL-STD-810G rating for shock and vibration and can be dropped from five feet onto plywood on a concrete surface. The rugged full function tablet PC is fully sealed against the ingress of liquid and dust damage (IP65) and has an operating temperature range of -20°C to +50°C.

Key features of Ubiqconn's T70C tablet PCs include a 5 MP webcam with an LED light embedded in the rear bezel, and a 2 MP camera with audio input in the front panel; seamless communication available via the onboard GPS or optional 3.5G or 4G TLE modules; optional 1D/2D barcode scanner and magnetic stripe reader (MSR) suitable for portable stock and asset management; and multiple connectivity interfaces including 2x USB, 1x RS-232, 1x Audio Jack, 1x Micro SD slot and 1x Ethernet port supporting PXE function. Five programmable function buttons are located on the front panel for user flexibility.
Vehicle and Desktop Docking Stations are available as an optional accessory. The Desktop Dock features 4x USB, 1x VGA, 1x Ethernet and 1x DC Jack, while the Vehicle Docking Station has 4x USB, 2x RS232, 1x VGA, 1x Ethernet, 1x DC Jack and 9~32VDC power input.
