Backplane Systems Technology has launched a new range of embedded computers designed for rugged fanless applications, video analytics and surveillance applications.

Neousys Technology's Quad Core Power Over Ethernet (PoE) embedded computer, the NUVO-3005E Series incorporates the cutting-edge 3rd Generation Intel i7 Quad-core processor and versatile I/O functions such as Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 ports. The superb computing power ensures video capture and analytics tasks operate seamlessly.

An embedded PoE version of NUVO-3005E Series, the NUVO-3005E-POE incorporates embedded 4x Gigabit Ethernet PoE ports to provide Ethernet communication and 15.4W of power to devices such as PoE cameras. Each PoE port can be turned On/Off by software to save the effort of operation and maintenance staff. With the patented ‘Cassette’ supporting four additional Gigabit Ethernet PoE ports, the NUVO-3005 Series embedded computer can support a maximum of 8x Gigabit Ethernet PoE ports for mission critical applications.

The rich functionality and high performance has not derated this rugged computer as it features an extended operating temperature of -25°C to +70°C and operates completely fanless.

The optional embedded ignition control for vehicle applications provides intelligent control on the Power On/Power Off delay to turn the computer On/Off at the correct time. The eight pre-set Power On/Power Off delay modes are designed to meet different operational situations. Optional onboard isolated digital I/O (8x inputs/8x outputs) with Change-of-State interrupt support is also provided to control the On/Off functionality of additional devices.
