Backplane Systems Technology has announced the release of the IB950, a 5.25" disk-size SBC based on the Mobile Intel GM965 Express Chipset.
The IB950 contains the Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 which is designed to deliver low power, enhanced 3D graphics performance with the board's CRT and LVDS interfaces. For added DVI display functionality, the IB950 comes with an inbuilt Chrontel 7307C DVI transmitter.
Supporting Intel Core2 Duo processors with 533/667/800MHz front side bus, the IB950 meets the needs of a wide range of performance intensive, low-power embedded applications in the medical, gaming and high definition multimedia.
With two memory slots, this embedded board is designed to support up to 4GB of DDR2 modules. It features an integrated Gigabit Ethernet and optional Marvell PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet controller. Expandability is provided by a PCI slot and a MiniPCI socket, advanced I/O interfaces include six USB2.0 ports, four serial ports and two SATA II connections.
