Backplane Systems Technology announces the release of the SI-38, iBASE's award-winning digital signage system.
An ultra slim embedded system designed specifically for digital signage applications, the award-winning SI-38 is powered by an accelerated processing unit (APU) with discrete class graphics and multiple display outputs. The 26mm-thick chassis is slim enough to disappear behind displays.
Built around a die-cast aluminium thermal frame that serves simultaneously as the entire system’s structural backbone, thermal conduit, airflow divider, HDD rail, EMI shield and mounting bracket, iBASE's SI-38 digital signage systems are designed to run graphic intensive applications with a level of performance previously exclusive to discrete GPUs.
The cooling airflow is segregated from the electronics to keep contaminants out, ensuring long-term reliability with a minimum acoustic footprint.
Key features of iBASE's SI-38 digital signage systems:
- Capable of decoding multiple H.264, WMV9, MPEG-4 and MPEG-2 video streams totally in the graphics subsystem, freeing the CPU cores for other tasks
- Supports iSMART, IBASE’s green technology with EuP/Erp power saving, auto power on/off scheduler and power resume functions to improve environmental performance
- Flexibility in peripheral, network and display connectivity
- Available connectivity includes USB 3.0, RS-232, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G wireless interfaces
