Backplane Systems Technology has announced the release of iBase’s MI888 fanless Mini-ITX motherboard based on the latest Intel® Atom™ Processors, the N450 and D510.
The MI888 is iBase’s latest fanless Mini-ITX motherboard and is based on a two-chip platform with the option of either the single core Intel® Atom™ processor N450 or the dual core Intel® Atom™ processor D510.
These processors are integrated with a single-channel DDR2 integrated memory controller (with DDR2-667MHz SO-DIMM on board) and an IGP graphics core, significantly cutting down board space to create more flexible and stylish designs.
Supporting 200MHz of GPU frequency, the MI888 boasts low power consumption and better hardware decoding on graphics-intensive and multimedia applications.
The Intel® Atom™ N450 / D510 processors reduce the overall power consumption of the platform and the small size as well as fanless cooling of the MI888 Mini-ITX motherboard allows it to operate quietly and reliably in small embedded systems, making them more energy-efficient.
The MI888 features dual display interfaces (VGA, CRT) and 18-bit single channel LVDS output.
The comprehensive I/O includes 8x USB ports, 2x serial ATA ports, 4x COM ports, 5.1CH high-definition audio, 1x CF socket and 1x PCI-E Gigabit LAN connectivity.
Additional expansion is achieved with one Mini PCI-E, PCI-E(x1) and PCI slots.
The MI888 fanless Mini-ITX motherboard is ideal for use in the digital signage, medical, POS, kiosk or gaming applications.
