has established a new subsidiary in New Zealand to strengthen its commitment in the Asia-Pacific region.
Located in Albany, the new technology centre of Auckland, the Beckhoff branch office will be managed by Neil Pearce, an experienced automation expert.
Kai Ristau, Head of International Sales and Business Development at Beckhoff explains that 56% of the total turnover from the Germany-based Beckhoff Automation came from exports in 2011, which bears out their strategy of continually expanding their international presence through the establishment of strong subsidiary companies.
He added that New Zealand was chosen for the expansion due to the country’s dynamic economic growth, particularly in the automation market, which prompted Beckhoff to increase its local commitment in order to gain new customers and tap into new fields of business.
Beckhoff automation technology has been represented in New Zealand since 2000 by the distributor, CSE W. Arthur Fisher Ltd.
According to Neil Pearce, Country Manager of Beckhoff New Zealand, the company aims to intensify its business activities and improve sales support to customers as well as technical support and service, with the opening of its own Beckhoff New Zealand branch office.
