Palm-sized terminal for field service


BAR Code Data Systems (BCDS) has added the Unitech PT930 to its range of products. The unit is suitable for collecting and processing information in the field where transactions actually happen.

The palm-sized unit is rugged and has been ergonomically designed. It is powered by Windows CE and incorporates a built-in barcode scanner, a touch screen, and a keypad for fast, easy data entry. An optional triple track magnetic strip reader is also available.

Communication connectivity back to the office is achieved through the PC card slot, supporting 802.11b wireless LAN, GSM/GPRS, network and modem cards.

If printing receipts is required, the built-in IrDA will be useful which also enables file and data transfer between terminals and other devices.
