The arbour press is matched with a machine-cut rack and pinion, which is made of heavy, high-strength steel. The body of the arbour press is precision-bored so as to ensure proper vertical alignment.
Arbour presses are available in various models such as 51p, 52p, 53p. The 53p model press is easily operable with a catch bracket provided to avoid sharp edges. The model 53 1/2p moel of arbour press includes a catch bracket along with a soft lead insertion.
The press is also equipped with a hand wheel and a wheel with teeth drive ram for quick withdrawal. The 56p model of arbour press available from B.R. Reeve Engineering is suitable for heavy duty applications. The features of this model include a sharp pin for safe operations, a flexible height table, and a geared-down ratchet ram drive.
