On the 22 August B&R Enclosures became the winner of the 2007 Minister’s Awards for Excellence for Employers of Australian Apprenticeships in the Adelaide region, at a gala event in Melbourne.

B&R’s South Australian Plant Manager, Doug Searle said “At B&R we believe that our company’s strength relies on the professionalism and application of our highly skilled workforce, and to nurture these talents we need to provide them with high quality training to develop their skills”.

B&R is a national company employing over 300 people and has been employing apprentices for over 48 years. Employees work in a team-based environment and undertake regular training.

With advanced skills and knowledge, this team based approach brings a dedication to excellence into every aspect of the business.

B&R currently has 37 apprentices nationally, and in the Adelaide region alone, employees around 100 people, including 18 apprentices.

As a manufacturer of electrical enclosures, B&R provides enclosures, standard and custom designed to a range of markets including, industrial, mining, infrastructure, data and communications, domestic and commercial.
