GARAGE door specialist B&D Doors has released a new Roll-A-Shutter industrial door that is lighter, easier to install and represents better value than alternatives.
Unlike most industrial garage doors that are fabricated from mild steel, the new Roll-A-Shutter is made from high-tensile steel.
The 4/100 door is designed to meet the demands of high volume multi-door warehouse and factory applications.
It is available in a range of sizes to suit openings up to 5500mm high and 5500mm wide.
B&D Doors' national marketing manager Ron Hay said the development of the new 4/100 Roll-A-Shutter offered a competitively priced door that was lighter but just as strong as comparable products.
"Garage doors are often the single largest movable device in both industrial and domestic situations and therefore need to be light yet durable enough to withstand repeated use," he added.
The standard 4/100 Roll-A-Shutter door features 0.42mm high tensile steel slats rollformed in a 100mm three-rib profile that is compatible with modern architectural styling.
The doors can be supplied in a range of gauges up to 1.00mm. Slats for the 4/100 are delivered pre-rolled on a glass-reinforced polypropylene drum to reduce the cost and complexity of installation.
Installation is similar to that required for B&D Doors' Series 2 Roll-A-Door.
The shutter is operated by a 240V, half-horsepower motor and sprocket. A 4:1 ratio manual gearbox is available for larger doors. A Series 2 planetary gear chain drive makes manual operation easier.
The 4/100 Roll-A-Shutter is available in a limited range of Colorbond steel colours or Zincalume steel.
Zincalume steel versions can be powder coated to match special or corporate colour schemes.
