VIPA, represented by Automation Warehouse , has released the PS 307 24V dc - 2.5A power supply.
VIPA 307 power supplies are designed to be used instead of the S7-300 power supplies from Siemens and still plug onto the Siemens custom DIN rail.
This stable switch mode supply is designed to supply the Siemens S7-300 and VIPA 300V CPU's with 24V dc. Its terminals are external like the Siemens supply so that the 24V dc can also be used to power external sensors and devices, etc.
100V ac to 240V ac line input, and 24V dc device power, are coupled with automatic overload, short circuit and over temperature protection. The power supply will resume supply once the fault is cleared automatically without user intervention.
The protection is maintenance-free meaning that electronic protection is utilised to eliminate the need for changing fuses or resetting a overloaded supply.
To complement the power supplies, VIPA manufactures a range of CPUs, digital and analogue modules that may also be used in the Siemens S7-300 racks.
