Automation Systems and Controls introduces the ForkAware Forklift motion sensors detection systems, a pedestrian safety system to warn pedestrians of forklifts and mobile plants approaching from blind spot areas, such as blind corners, pedestrian crossovers or doorway entries. This monitoring technologies also benefits providing stability to cranes and heavy mining machinery.
Utilizing Radar Technology, the ForkAware motion sensors are connected to a local control module, which is used to switch warning lights/alarms upon any forklift approaching danger areas. The sensors are set on installation for the appropriate detection area and can distinguish a vehicle within 17 metres in distance.
These monitoring systems can also be programmed to detect pedestrians. The Receiver, through the controller unit, then triggers an audible or visible alarm. The range control adjustment is used to increase the range of detection from 5 metres up to 17 metres.
Automation Systems and Controls’ ForkAware Forklist motion sensors systems can be customised to activate warning lights, audible warnings, and can also control pedestrian traffic, open doors and prevent high mast equipment from entering low doorways.
