AUTOMATED Packaging Systems has introduced a new automatic counting system - the Autobag AccuCount 200.
This machine is flexibile, highly accurate and increases productivity using the latest technology.
When used in conjunction with Automated Packaging's Autobag AB 180 it provides a complete 'count and pack' facility for any packing operation.
The AccuCount 200 is a counting system suitable for a wide range of industries including automotive parts, hardware and DIY, electrical objects, plumbing and heating parts, hobby, craft and cosmetics items and disposable healthcare products.
Capable of counting up to 2,500 packages per hour, a bulk supply of product is driven to a single-flow that is automatically counted and batched to a pre-set quantity. The pre-set quantity settings can be saved and recalled at any time.
Orientation funnels drive the product to a single flow for enhanced control of the parts as it falls through the detection eye. Once the detection eye reaches the required amount of parts, the over count discharge diverting funnel is activated.
This redirects parts into an isolated bin, ensuring complete quantity accuracy for each package and preventing over counting.
In order to increase accuracy further, the AccuCount 200 operates a part profiling analysis, which assigns a value to each part.
Any part below this value in weight or size, like dirt or part fragments, is identified as scrap and not counted, preventing under counting.
The AccuCount 200 is dependable and operationally flexible, benefiting from a state of the art touch screen monitor which can store up to 50 set ups and makes set up, recalling of jobs and diagnostics simple to do says Automated Packaging.
The machine recalls all settings and operating parameters to facilitate a fast and accurate changeover between products, resulting in minimal downtime.
According to Automated Packaging, AccuCount 200 provides increased productivity levels of up to 10 times the speed of hand load operations, thereby reducing direct labour costs.
The machines have a small footprint of approximately 1m x 1.5m, therefore saving valuable floor space.
