AUTODESK has appointed Frank Sgammotta to the position of Regional Director of Australia and New Zealand.
This is a new position that is in line with Autodesk’s decision to provide focused leadership and dedicated resources to growing regions like Australia and New Zealand.
Mr Sgammotta has been with Autodesk for seven years, most recently holding the position of sales development director, South East Asia Pacific, since 2001, where his performance in this role saw the Autodesk business in Australia and New Zealand grow by over 200% in the past four years.
As Regional Director for Australia and New Zealand, Mr Sgammotta and his team are dedicated to servicing the specific needs of Australian and New Zealand customers.
He will manage operations, working with partners to ensure the region has a strong and loyal customer base. Sgammotta will also concentrate on his team: "I am passionate about the people I work with. One of my key responsibilities is to develop a team of high performers."
With 20 years experience in the IT industry in various sales and marketing roles, Sgammotta believes: "Autodesk at the present time has the best range of products in the company's history and with our top class partner channel we are poised for continued high growth in the coming years."
In his new role, the main objective for Mr Sgammotta is to strengthen the sales force and foster close relationships with Autodesk's customers in the region.
"Primarily, I want to see us achieve our quarterly and annual sales targets and matrixes. The other key goal for Autodesk over the next twelve months is to make subscription part of the culture for all products in the region," he said.
Mr Sgammotta plans on achieving these goals by caring for his workforce. "Through open and honest communication I hope to empower the staff to reach their potential while enjoying their time at work," he said.
Mr Sgammotta started his career as financial controller at Digital Equipment but switched to a sales role when he moved to NEC as its Australia and New Zealand sales manager for computers.
During his time at NEC Frank Sgammotta held the President Club Title, which is awarded for sales excellence, for 11 years running.
Mr Sgammotta has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle and is a Certified Practicing Accountant.
