Bolphane BYO is a new development in packaging materials, now available from Australian Wrapping Company , which has been formulated to be totally degradable in the environment.
When the useful life of this heat shrink film has ended, it undergoes a process known as oxo-biodegradation. The material fragments itself and oxidises by effect of light and heat, then becomes assimilable by soil micro-organisms.
The film will thus eventually disappear completely, leaving behind only water, carbon dioxide and biomass.
Bolphane BYO heat shrink film is suitable for use with manual machines, and due to its technical characteristics, equally as suitable for high speed automatic equipment.
It is available single wound or centre folded, and offers excellent sealing and shrinkage properties at low temperatures, requiring less energy.
