Australian Robotics Industries offers a range of Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), including Beagle inspection robots which are designed for use in hazardous environments.
These robots are easy to operate, rapid response vehicles capable of carrying out inspection, detection, identification and surveillance in hazardous environments including:
- industrial; and
- emergency incident sites.
They can be fitted with standard HAZMAT RAE sensors that provide stand-off detection, identification and alerting for gas, vapour and particle thresholds. When equipped in this way, operators can simultaneously monitor all sensor readings along with camera feeds for navigation, surveillance and inspection.
In addition, alerts have been integrated into the console of these industrial robot systems to provide an indication when gaseous, vapour and particle thresholds have been exceeded, with thresholds set by the operator.
Beagle inspection and detection robots can optionally be fitted with a range of instruments, including:
- forward looking, high intensity white light illumination
- infra red illumination
- a rear mounted operator controlled tow hook; and
- robotic arm offering over two metre reach for sensor readings.
