THE new Austeck Gladiator truck mounted drain cleaning machine built by Australian Pump Industries offers drain cleaning features and capabilities not found on conventional machines of similar size.
Designed by Australian Pump for both local government and industrial drain cleaning projects, the machine comes complete with its own independent power source allowing it drive two "Big Berty" Bertolini pumps in different capacities.
Two pumps are used to drive high pressure sewer cleaning hoses fitted with reverse jet nozzles up the pipe or sewer line. This super high pressure water jet is directed up the pipe and, propelled by its own pressure, clears blockages and dislodges built up grease and other matter from the inside diameter of the pipe.
The machine comes with its own 650L water tank allowing it to operate independent of mains water pressure or supply. A built in drain cock and hose makes routine tank clean out easy and safe.
It is also fitted with a lightweight, but high pressure, drain cleaning hose assemblies supplied on OH&S friendly hose reels. The hose reels enable the hose to be stored without damage, neatly, and eliminates the obstacle of coils of hose lying around the job.
A water supply hose connected to the machine's tank is fitted to a hose reel on the front of the machine. This hose enables the tank to be topped up when the machine is operating in areas where there is mains water pressure.
The machine's unique double pump system provides the maximum operator flexibility. One pump produces 20Lpm and 5000psi whilst the second pump produces 2000psi and is rated to 60Lpm. The big pump capacity provides sufficient flow to unblock large sewer lines and to flush the waste material away.
The 5000psi pump is used for heavy build up of waste and has sufficient hydraulic pressure to drive rotating flail style nozzles and root cutters.
