AN 8500psi EWP hydro blaster has been released by Australian Pump Industries . Called the Aussie Predator the machine offers a combination of both super high pressure and high flow that cuts cleaning times, saves water, power and labour.
The heart of the system is a Bertolini 5000psi HDS series pump producing 18 litres of flow a minute.
The pump is designed around Bertolini's heavy duty Triplex design but with some significant differences.
The entire pump is a new concept with Bertolini engineers designing out sharp edges within the water passages. This creates a smoother more even flow of liquid through the pump resulting in quieter performance and longer pump head life.
The pump also offers forged brass head, forged brass bolt down style valve caps and an inline valve system.
The heavy duty 30mm crank shaft and a large capacity oil-filled crank case ensure long life.
Dubbed the "lethal weapon" by the Aussie Pump R&D team who developed the machine, the big hydro blaster is the first machine of its size to be built by Australian Pump on a regular commercial production line basis.
The machine is enclosed in a heavy duty steel roll cage style trolley and mounted on four pneumatic tyre wheels.
This makes it easy to move around on site and to load on and off the back of utes or trailers.
Standard drive is through a heavy duty close-coupled gearbox with engine drive options including a 20hp Honda industrial petrol engine, or a Hatz air cooled 18hp diesel.
A stainless steel 500 bar Aussie Turbo Masterturbo lance is supplied with the machine as standard equipment providing the operator with the facility to operate with up to 8500psi of EWP (effective working pressure).
Australian Pump provides a complete training package including operator certification. The training course deals with OH&S aspects as well as the safe and effective use of the machine
