AUSTRALIAN Pump Industries has launched a range of cast-iron trash pumps with integrated hydraulic drives.
The hydraulic drives allow them to be driven from the hydraulic system of vehicles like trucks, tractors or cranes as well as static installations on boats, in factories or workshops.
They are designed for pumping grey water, effluent or liquids with a high percentage of solids in suspension.
Aussie Hydro Drive pumps will initially be available in two-inch, three-inch and four-inch semitrash configurations offering flows of up to 2,400L/min and heads to 24m. Their self-priming design means they will draw water from depths of over 6m vertical lift. They are suitable for replacing submersible pumps or long column sump pumps in fixed installations such as meat processing plants or wineries.
They are also suitable for use on water tankers where they can run off the vehicles' main PTO pump drive. The drives eliminate the need for separate petrol or diesel industrial engines. Increased torque and horsepower are also available from the main vehicle's engine.
