Tsurumi’s new KTV series slurry pumps available in Australia from Australian Pump Industries are delivering excellent reliability at concrete batch plants and in the cement industry.
Introduced to the Australian market by Australian Pump Industries, Tsurumi’s distributor for Australia and South Sea Island Groups, the KTV series combines a semi-vortex impeller with an inbuilt agitator to allow sand laden liquid to pass smoothly through the pump.
Available in 2-inch and 3-inch options, the submersible pumps offer flows up to 720 litres per minute and heads as high as 22.5 metres. The pumps are powered by heavy duty 3 phase, 2 pole motors with D.O.L. starters, and the motors are 415 volt, 50 hertz.
According to Aussie Pumps’ Craig Bridgement, the high chrome semi-vortex impeller is designed to be durable and corrosion resistant even in heavy duty batch plant applications. He adds that the spiral design of the agitator aids the smooth suction of sand and silt.
Key features of Tsurumi’s new KTV series slurry pumps include through-flow housing design enabling the motor to stay cool and allowing operation even at a low water level; rubber suction cover for abrasion resistance as standard; and top-mounted discharge enabling easy installation in confined spaces.
Bridgement says Tsurumi’s high-tech slurry pumps are available at reasonable prices, and are also reliable, will cut maintenance costs and improve efficiency in batch plants, pre-fab concrete product plants and everywhere concrete products are manufactured.
