Australian Pump Industries recently won a contract to supply big 4” diesel powered gushers for water supply and site dewatering in the Middle East.
The Aussie Quick Prime Model QP402 self priming centrifugal 4” pumps were chosen for the job, mounted in heavy duty galvanised frame trolley arrangements.
The big 4” pumps produce 1800 litres per minute flow and offer suction lifts of up to 8.4 metres. The maximum delivery head is 28 metres.
“The customer liked the big Aussie pump’s ability to draft water from wells and its heavy duty SG cast iron impeller and volute combination” said Aussie Pumps Product Manager, John Whiteley.
“Those internal components provide an ability to draft small solids in suspension,” he said.
A 10HP Yanmar electric start diesel engine was chosen as the prime power for the project because of Yanmar’s good acceptance in the region and easy spare parts availability.
The pumps close couples to the engine making a compact high performing unit. The big pump comes with a top quality mechanical seal and is supplied with hose couplings and strainer as standard equipment.
“This Middle East contract is another endorsement of Aussie Pumps products being accepted as world class by discerning buyers around the world” said Whiteley.
The contract called for mobility. Australian Pump built the 4” Gusher into a fully galvanized steel roll frame trolley with four big 13” pneumatic tyres and steel wheels.
