AUSTRALIAN Pump Industries , Metrex Valve distributors for Australia, has announced the opening of a Metrex Service Station designed to provide users with quick turn-around time on Metrex Valve repairs. Located at their large Castle Hill factory complex in Sydney's Norwest business district, the Metrex Service Station is fully equipped with trained Metrex service staff.

Metrex Valve Corporation manufactures a broad range of water regulating valves for heat transfer purposes. They are built to exacting engineering standards with rigorous quality control to ensure consistent high quality.

The product line represents self-contained, self-powered and self-regulating units resulting in ‘set and forget’ reliability.

The product is designed to modulate water flow in response to pressure signals. Thus, a typical application is in a cooling water refrigerant system where the water is modulated through the condenser ports in the amount required to maintain precise control of the refrigerant head pressure. The balance of the cooling water is diverted through the by-pass port joined downstream of the condenser.

Metrex thermostatic and pressure actuated valves have a significant advantage over other types of control valves. They devise their operating force directly from changes occurring within the system being controlled. Thus, there are no sensors to drift out of calibration, no control instrumentation malfunction and no electrical power to fail.

Metrex Valves are widely used in air-conditioning systems in industry and commerce as well as by the RANS, ANZAC and FFG class frigates.
