HONDA, represented in Australia by Australian Pump Industries , has released a powered high-pressure water jetter power pack.
It is designed for incorporation in mining, earthmoving or drain cleaning service or utility vehicles. It consists of a 20 horse power Honda industrial twin cylinder engine, driving a Bertolini 4000 psi piston pump. The pump delivers 21L/min of flow.
The power pack comes with its own integrated unloader device that bypasses fluid back through the pump when the high pressure operation is not operating. A pressure gauge is also a part of the kit enabling the operator to check operating pressures during all machine functions.
The Aussie Safety Protection (ASP) kit is also part of the standard power unit configuration, comprising safety valves designed to protect both machine and operator. The ASP kit includes a thermal dump valve that releases liquid from the pump when it reaches a predetermined temperature of 60ºC. This protects the pump from extended by-pass running.
A high prime safety valve that blows off if the machine is subject to a pressure spike is incorporated and protects the operator. It also protects the machine by blowing off if the machine suffers an overload condition. The machine is fitted to a steel skid base that slides out of its storage compartment for routine maintenance.
