SHORCO Sykes Plant Hire in Queensland recently took delivery of a fleet of Australian Pump Industries ’ two-inch cast 316 grade stainless steel trash pumps for general corrosive liquid pumping duties.
The pumps are powered by Yanmar 4.8 horse power, air-cooled diesel engines. They come in a compact galvanised steel frame. The tough stainless steel material of construction allows the pumps to handle both corrosive and abrasive pumping applications. They can handle mine waste water as well as saltwater and many industrial chemicals.
The pumps produce flows of up to 600L/min and offer heads to 20m. Their self priming design allows them to draft water from depths of 6m, making them ideal for portable use around construction or mine sites. The GMP model B2KQA-ST-Xe pumps offer all 316 grade stainless steel fittings and have a front-mounted clean out port that allows the unit to be cleaned of debris without breaking pipework or hose assemblies. A big non-clog-style open impeller and silicone carbide mechanical seal are standard equipment.
Australian Pump Industries produces a range of 316 grade stainless steel self priming centrifugal pumps suitable for corrosive and erosive applications. Some pumps are designed in clean water configurations while others come in full trash handling versions.
