AUSTRALIAN Pump Industries has released a heavy-duty cast steel drain cleaner pump. It is designed for hydraulic drives on large, truck-mounted sewer or drain cleaning machines. It offers a maximum flow of 30L/min with a maximum pressure of 500 bar.
The pump is a triplex plunger type with double drive shafts allowing flexibility of design. Double grease-lubricated pressure packing is provided as standard equipment and the pump comes with horizontal valves for easy maintenance.
A large cast steel crankcase provides splash lubrication and cool, trouble-free running. The pump head is made of nickel-treated spheroidal cast iron with 316 stainless steel material available as an option. Self-adjusted shaft bearings with double roller rims and forged steel con rods with anti-friction bearings are standard equipment.
The crankshaft is made of nitrited, hardened and tempered alloy steel and plungers are stainless steel with ceramic coating for abrasion resistance. Internal low and high-pressure valves are made from stainless steel.
The pump's combination of pressure and flow enables drain cleaning to be accomplished quickly. The pump can be used in combination with the Aussie Root Mulcher. This is a turbo style reverse jet system that chops through roots and blockages in sewer and stormwater drains.
