Powered by a Yanmar L60, 6 horsepower diesel engine, the big pump offers the fishing and marine industries real corrosion resistance and big performance.
"The big 3" pump will produce in excess of 1160 litres per minute,” said Product Manager, Brad Farrugia. “That makes it ideal for salt water salvage work on barges, trawlers, work boats or even defence vessels, like landing craft or patrol boats."
The pump offers heads of up to 50m (75psi) depending on drive option and impeller configuration provided.
Yanmar diesel engines were chosen because of their reliability and ready acceptance in the marine industry.
The pump self primes from depths of 6.6m and is provided as standard with Buna N elastomers for salt water and diesel/oil compatibility.
The seawater pump comes in a heavy duty roll frame that is either double powder coated or galvanised, depending on customer preference.
"Some customers have specified stainless steel frames and stainless steel fittings. We have no problem with customising specific machines for particular engineered requirements," said Mr Farrugia.
