A heavy duty 3 inch cast 316 grade stainless steel pump designed specifically for the mining and resource industry has been released by Australian Pump Industries.

Called the Aussie B3XRA, the pump is able to handle both corrosive and abrasive liquid.

Powered by a heavy duty Yanmar L100 10 hp electric start industrial diesel engine, the new Aussie B3XRA 3 inch pump is self priming with the ability draw water from depths of 6 metres. Self priming is achieved by the large inbuilt tank, designed into the Aussie B3XRA pump’s body and a front mounted check valve that prevents water from running back down the suction line.

The Aussie B3XRA pump’s design offers a great range of user friendly features that include first class performance and the ability to handle small solids in suspension! Maximum flow is 1350 litres per minute with the ability to pump 9mm solids in suspension.

The big, non clog, open style impeller, gives the machine the capability of achieving up to 40m head, at 3600 rpm.

“These big stainless steel, self priming pumps are ideal for tailings dam transfer, dewatering duties or use on mobile road tankers,” said Aussie Pumps product manager John Whitely. “The pump can also be configured with hydraulic drive for mobile applications,” he said.

A heavy duty galvanised steel frame with anti vibration mounts is standard equipment and trailer mounted versions, designed for mobility on mine sites are also available.
