A big Hatz air cooled diesel engine powered 5000 PSI Hydroblaster has been released by Australian Pump Industries.
Designed specifically for the mining and construction industry, the Hydroblaster offers operators tremendous cleaning power with minimal use of water.
“We moved to 5000 PSI for this series of machines, the Aussie Predator, in an effort to save time, save water and provide operators with significantly better cleaning results” said Aussie Pumps Product Manager, Hamish Lorenz.
The heart of the system is a heavy duty “Big Berty” Bertolini triplex pump that develops a flow of 18 litres per minute at 5000 PSI. The Predator also offers a EWP (effective working pressure) with Aussie Turbomaster turbolance of 8500 PSI.
The whole machine comes in a sturdy galvanised steel frame and is skid mounted for easy attachment to either a trailer or truck.
“The beauty of the machine is that it can be truck mounted with a suitable water tank, like a Rapid 6000 or 8000 litre poly tank, to provide a self contained cleaning unit capable of maintaining plant in the field” said Lorenz.
The frame is equipped with a centre mounted lifting bar and an integrated Aussie Reel Quick hose reel that gives the operator up to 60 metres of high pressure hose storage. The reel means that the hose is stored tidily which prolongs the hose life and avoids potential OH&S mishaps.
Like all Aussie heavy duty industrial engine drive pressure cleaners the big Hydroblaster is equipped with ASP (Aussie Safety Protection).
The ASP system consists of a safety valve that protects the operator and machine from spikes in the system. A thermal dump valve is also incorporated to protect the machine from the possibilities of over heating due to bypass running.
“The big 18 HP Hatz diesel was chosen because of its reliability, power and torque characteristics, ease of serviceability in the field is another bonus.” he said.
“Hatz parts are also easily available from distributors from all around Australia and their warranty and aftermarket support is second to none” said Lorenz.
The Hydroblaster is equipped with a safety protection kit that protects the engine from low oil, and high temperature.
“Because we make the Predator in volume, the price is a fraction of the equivalent of imported machines that are designed for far less demanding European conditions” said Lorenz.
“The Predator is living proof that Australia’s machines are as good as any in the world and are priced competitively” he said.
