A cast iron 4 inch semi-trash pump designed for both high pressure and high flow performance has been released by Australian Pump Industries.
Called the B4XRA, the big 4 inch pump offers flows of up to 2600 litres per minute and heads of up to 33 metres.
The pump’s self priming design allows the pump to draft water from construction sites, mines or quarry sumps.
The pump’s high capacity also makes it ideal for applications involving construction style road tankers, where its big flow and high pressure make it ideal for fast filling and batter spray applications.
The pump has a whopping maximum head of 33 of metres, that’s 50 of PSI! It offers users a big cast iron, open style impeller and silicon carbide seals as standard equipment.
A handy clean out port is built into the front of the pump, enabling blockages to be cleared without breaking pipe work or dismantling of the pump.
The standard drive unit is a Vanguard 31HP electric start, industrial petrol engine but diesel drive utilising Hatz or Yanmar engines are available for the mining and construction industry.
“We think that this pump has got the lot!” said Aussie Pumps John Whiteley. “Its tough enough to stand up to mining and construction conditions whilst offering users economical performance, low initial purchase price and ISO9001 quality performance” he said.
