Australian Packaging Machinery Association , Australia’s only national packaging and machinery association, has announced it will be changing its name to the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association effective immediately. Mr Rob Lawrence, National Chairman of the Association said, “Changing the association name to the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association has been a long time coming and is designed to ensure that all of our member companies are represented accordingly.”
“For a long time our membership has involved both packaging and processing and the national board felt it was time to ensure that this was reflected in our overall corporate identity and association name. Our membership base covers all areas of packaging and processing equipment including food processing and process engineering equipment and our new name identifies all aspects of the industry.”
“We have also decided that as the major member service of our association is AUSPACK; Australasia’s largest biennial packaging and processing machinery exhibition; from 2011 the exhibition will be known as AUSPACK PLUS and will be expanding its format to include the processing and plastics sectors of food, beverage and manufacturing industries. This expansion will also offer greater benefits to all of our members and provide one exhibition for everyone in the packaging & processing machinery, plastics and associated materials sectors to attend,” he said.
The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association will also be launching a new company logo and corporate identity, which includes a new website currently under development being designed to improve member benefits and promote member profiles to the industry.
