The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) congratulates CMActive, the winner of the Packaging Design Award category at the recent 2013 Food Magazine Awards. The APPMA sponsored this category for the second year in a row.
According to Mr Mark Dingley, Chairman of the APPMA, CMActive is the exclusive ANZ partner for several of the world’s most innovative packaging producers including Torus Pak, which won the company the 2013 Packaging Design Award.
Torus Pak is a patented meal packaging system that allows the meal to be presented on a porcelain plate exactly the way it is intended. The unique retractable film base with the Torus Pak pulling tab enables the end user to transfer the meal from tray to plate within seconds, keeping the chef’s presentation intact.
A major advantage of the Torus Pak is that the meal, on removing the packaging will appear as a freshly cooked meal plated by the chef with all traces of industrial production erased. As the top film will not be removed during the transfer of the meal, there is no risk of hot steam burning the user’s fingers.
Made of PP, Torus Pak tolerates pasteurising, MAP, and tough handling, and can be heated in the microwave or steam oven. Torus Pak is simple to use for people of all ages and for all kinds of occasions from ready meals to foodservice for institutions, healthcare facilities and events.
