These hot runner systems from Australian Mould Release are extensively used in moulding. A common problem in moulding is that the gate wears down and melt flow channels get clogged or buildup causes uneven melt flow. These hot runner systems can also be coated, a process which extends gate operating life.
Melt flow is never continuous in a runner system. This means that melt can settle and buildup onto all parts of the system. With a mould coating, these buildups can easily be removed. The valves in such systems can also be coated.
Runner/cavity ratio is maintained for longer periods when the runner system is coated.
