The Australian Made Campaign announces the appointment of Michael Frankland as the new Account Manager for Queensland.
Michael Frankland has taken on the new role, joining Australian Made’s ranks from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Queensland (CCIQ). The appointment is expected to boost Australian Made’s presence in Queensland.
Frankland’s responsibilities will include facilitating access for Queensland’s farming, manufacturing, fishing and aquaculture businesses to the iconic Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) logo. He will also work with CCIQ to help educate local businesses on the benefits of leveraging country-of-origin as a marketing tool, and how it can be successfully promoted.
Observing that Michael Frankland will be a great asset to the team with his local business expertise, Australian Made Chief Executive, Ian Harrison comments that the Australian Made Campaign is proud to be working with CCIQ to provide the Queensland business community with access to a local resource for information about the Australian Made, Australian Grown logo.
According to CCIQ CEO Stephen Tait, being a foundation member of the Australian Made Campaign, CCIQ is delighted to support Australian Made Campaign’s initiative in Queensland to drive recognition and awareness of the products made, grown and produced across the state.
Australia’s official country-of-origin certification trade mark, the Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) logo is used by more than 2000 companies on more than 15,000 products sold in the country and around the world. Research shows the AMAG logo gives 88% of Australian consumers strong confidence that the product is Australian. Recognition of the AMAG logo is at an all-time high of 98%, proving that it is by far the most trusted country-of-origin identifier for Australian consumers.
Does your business qualify?
The Australian Made certification requires the product to be made in Australia and over 50 per cent of the cost of production cost incurred in Australia.
The Australian Grown certification requires all significant ingredients to be grown in Australia and almost all processing carried out in Australia.
Product of Australia
The Product of Australia certification requires all of the product’s significant ingredients to have come from Australia and almost all of the manufacturing/processing carried out in Australia.
The Australian Seafood certification requires all significant ingredients to be grown/ harvested in Australia and almost all processing carried out in Australia.
What does it cost?
The annual licence fee is based on the actual sales of licensed products for the previous 12 months. The minimum fee is $300 plus GST for annual sales up to $300,000.
