The Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign is celebrating 2000 registered businesses with Brisbane-based optical lens manufacturer Shamir Australia approved to use the iconic green-and-gold logo on its products.

All 2000 companies will vouch for the fact that being Aussie is good for business. All registered businesses are licensed to use Australia’s country-of-origin certification trademark, the AMAG kangaroo logo on their products. Consumers can now search for over 15,000 genuine Aussie products on the Australian Made Campaign’s online directory.

Australian Made Campaign Chief Executive, Ian Harrison describes the ‘2000 barrier’ as a significant breakthrough, which also represents growth of over 150% in the past decade. He explains that the Australian Made Campaign is a collective effort to brand genuine Aussie products in Australia and all over the world. The AMAG logo also helps businesses clearly mark their products as Australian while providing consumers a clear identifier to buy genuine Aussie products and produce.

Shamir Australia General Manager, Paul Stacey accepted a commemorative certificate from Australian Made on behalf of the organisation. To Mr Stacey, the Australian Made logo is a symbol for excellence in manufacturing, commitment to local jobs and local reinvestment, and a great fit for their optical lens brand.

The Australian Made Campaign is running a national campaign all through this month to promote country-of-origin branding as a vital part of the marketing toolkit of every business producing genuine Aussie products.
