The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) National Board has awarded Phillip Higgins, Director of Technline a Fellowship.
The grade of Fellow is the highest recognition to AIP members and recognises the contribution to the technology, science or application to packaging in the industry by a member.
Phillip Higgins FAIP has been involved in various product innovation roles for the past 25 years, developing fast-moving consumer goods for companies such as James Hardi, Kambrook Electrical and Amcor Ltd. Over the last 15 years, Mr Higgins has focused on the design of Plastic Closures.
As a high performance, results-driven product design and packaging engineer, Phillip has created and assigned 23 patents, and introduced 100+ products into industry.
Mr Higgins feels honoured about receiving the fellowship award and be recognised by the Australian Institute of Packaging as a contributor to the packaging industry.
He says that he has been associated with packaging design for 16 years and joined the AIP to extend his knowledge as well as share experiences.
Mr Higgins adds that technical dinners and the National Conference have enabled him to network with other professionals in the packaging field, allowing him to associate with like-minded people who have the passion to develop new technology and make innovative improvements to packaging design.
The AIP National Board would like to congratulate Phillip Higgins for his significant contribution to the packaging industry in Australia.
