International Speakers to be present at AIP Technical Forums during AUSPACK 2007

Two international speakers will be heading to Australia to present at the National Australian Institute of Packaging Technical Forum, which will be held during AUSPACK on the 2nd and 3rd of May 2007.

David Wiggins

Theme: Innovation is critical to success in any fast moving consumer goods company. David will review Coors Brewers journey in developing its innovation skills and illustrate with case studies how this has contributes to the businesses success, both in bringing new products to market and to controlling its costs.

David will show that packaging innovation is not just about new products, but that it contributes to the way a business runs its supply chain.

David is currently Head of Packaging, Graphics and Dispense Innovation and Development at Coors Brewers in Burton on Trent, England.

He holds a Degree in Packaging Technology and over the last 26 years has developed packaging in industries ranging from Cosmetics to Confectionery via ethical Pharmaceuticals.

David has been National Council Chairman of the Institute of Packaging and has served on the management boards of the Industry Council for Packaging and the Environment (INCPEN) and Farapack, which works to bring together industrial companies and academic bodies in the UK.

Coors Brewers

Molson Coors is the one of the large brewers in the world, formed by the merger of equals in 2005 of Molson and Coors. With executive offices in Denver and Montreal, its major markets are the UK, Canada and the USA.

Coors Brewers Limited is the UK’s 2nd large brewer with a 20%+ market share. Brands include Carling, UK’s big selling lager, Grolsch, one of the UK’s leading premium lagers and Coors, an American style premium lager.

Farzana Mohsin has been with Euromonitor for over 7 years. She moved up the ranks from research analyst to project management to fully managing the Consulting unit in Asia Pacific.

Since 2003, Farzana assumed the position as the Asia Pacific Research Manager, overseeing Euromonitor publications comprising research on fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) markets, as well as industries supporting the FMCG markets.

This includes food packaging, drinks packaging, non-food packaging, tobacco, travel and tourism, financial cards, consumer electronics and retailing.

The diverse experience has allowed Farzana to leverage market intelligence up and down the supply chain, enabling her to have a holistic understanding of the consumer goods market.

The same Technical Forum will be held twice to ensure that no-one misses out on the big AIP event in 2007. The forums will consist of ten independent sessions covering a broad range of topics including: global retail trends, shelf ready packaging, packaging trends, nano technology, environmental packaging and case studies from the food and beverage industries.
