Dr. Paul Singh, Professor in the School of Packaging, Michigan University, USA, has been announced as the keynote speaker at the 2008 AIP National Conference organised by the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP).
Dr. Paul Singh will be presenting two papers at the conference.
Presentation One: Sustainable Packaging Initiative with Case Studies.
Presentation Two: Life Cycle Inventory of Food Distribution Containers (Reusable Plastic Containers and Display-Ready Corrugated) for fresh fruits and vegetables.
Dr. Paul Singh’s responsibilities include research and teaching in the areas of packaging, transportation and storage environment, machinery and automation. Dr. Paul Singh has served as a consultant to various fortune 500 companies and federal agencies like the U.S. Army, Department of Justice, United Nations, solving technical problems in packaging, material handling, and transportation.
Dr. Paul Singh serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Packaging Research Institutes and the International Safe Transit Association. Dr. Paul Singh is a member of IOPP, ASTM, ASME and NIPHLE. Dr. Paul Singh is the recipient of the 2006 Logistics Achievement Award from NIPHLE and 2007 Award of Merit from ASTM.
Dr. Paul Singh provides consultation on a contract basis to assist projects related to packaging. Dr. Paul Singh was recently selected by NASA to review the BioPlex project (Manned Mission to Mars) for advanced life support systems.
