The Australian Institute of Packaging will be running a new print technology course called the ‘Introduction to Print Technology’.  The half-day course will be held at the Oatlands Golf Course, NSW on Friday 7 October 2011.

The aim of the course is to provide attendants with adequate information on how to be able to have an informed discussion with a printing company on requirements and needs.

The introduction course topics will include:

  • The print processes
  • Print and other related problems you may encounter
  • A simulated press approval process
  • Further associated ‘production quality’ factors including Print technology advances

Attendants would also be shown how to use linen tester (Eyeglass), as well as the introduction to pantone chart books, colour densitometers and more.

The course will be presented by Andrew Readman, a Lecturer of Printing Machining at RMIT University ICGT (International Centre of Graphic Technology).

The Australian Institute of Packaging recommends packaging technologists, packaging designers and individuals in print sales and marketers to attend this half-day course.
