Procurement and packaging design will be the subjects of discussion at the upcoming technical dinner hosted by the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) New South Wales Branch.

AIP is holding the technical dinner on Wednesday the 13th of November at the Oatlands Golf Course with speakers from Echo Design and Supply Stratagems.

Robert Shouldice, Founder and Director of Supply Stratagems will be presenting a paper on ‘Procurement: What is its role in creating value?’.

Mr Shouldice will explain the difference between Purchasing and Procurement in his presentation. Today’s Procurement professionals now influence C-suite executives, guide the modern organisation’s supply base and have titles such as Chief Procurement Officer.

The AIP presentation and discussion will aim to debunk some myths about Procurement with attendees learning how Procurement interacts within and outside their organisation, understanding the consequences of good and bad procurement, appreciating its motivators and KPIs, and seeing the value it can bring to the table.

Mark McNamara, Business Director, Echo Design will be speaking about Packaging Design and the impact of restrictions on the creative process.

Industry members can attend the event by simply booking online or sending an email to AIP.
