The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) Victorian Branch will be holding a technical dinner on Wednesday, the 4th of May at the Box Hill Golf Club.  

Organised in conjunction with LATMA, the technical dinner will feature speakers from Foster Packaging, Avery Dennison and Matthews Intelligent Identification.

Covering the digital developments in flexible packaging, Mr Joe Foster’s presentation will include the advantages of digital flexible packaging and available options.  

Joe’s presentation will also discuss the challenges of digital flexible packaging, market expectations and acceptance as well as its future.  

Mr Stephen Walker, General Manager, Retail Brand Information Solutions (RBIS) – Australia, Avery Dennison  

Presenting the latest market developments in RFID, Stephen’s presentation will include developments in antenna design and the issues they address, changes made in the packaging industry to adopt RFID technology and applications where there is a business case.  

AIP Members and non-members are invited for the presentation.  

Mr Phil Biggs, National Sales & Marketing Manager for Matthews Intelligent Identification  

Phil’s presentation will cover the benefits and implications of implementing a packaging code management (PCM) system.  

PCM systems can eliminate coding and labelling errors, reduce packaging and product waste as well as increase packaging line efficiencies. Phil will also discuss laser coding and its place within the suite of coding technologies.
