The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) New South Wales division will be holding a technical seminar on ‘Software Packages used in Packaging Management’ on Thursday, the 22nd of July.
Speakers include Ron Mines MAIP, Director, Aussie Pack 'n' Ship and Andrew Sleath, Services Manager, iApproveit.
Ron Mines’ presentation will show how packaging and other supply chain businesses can use technology to improve their bottom-line by optimising their inner and outer packaging relationship to maximise pallet utilisation.
This can provide substantial savings on storage as well as transport and greatly assist with modelling for smaller volume packs and shelf-ready concepts.
Exporters and importers can also benefit by optimising shipping container stuffing.
In addition to improving bottom-line performance, this facility can assist to improve Packaging Covenant performance against KPIs.
Andrew Sleath’s presentation will explore online art approvals using the Internet securely to let everyone work together on one central system.
Andrew will help participants uncover efficiencies that show how to increase the quality of communications and reduce turnaround time, dramatically reducing the number of revisions on a print job.
He will also discuss savings in staff time for clients and their partners including the agency, designer and printer.
