An ever increasing amount of warehouses are using LO order picking forklifts; however this equipment is not covered under the standard LF forklift licence.
Australian Forklift Training offers specialised LO order picking training courses that cover all the necessary theory knowledge required to operate safely and attain the licence. The course also teaches the attendee how to perform practical tasks including:
- Manoeuvring the order picking equipment around obstacles
- Picking- placing and retrieving from different heights
- How to handle emergency situations; and
- Checking, charging and correctly parking the machine
At the conclusion of the second day, attendees will sit the WorkCover licence test, and upon successful completion, attendees will receive a Statement of Attainment and a Nationally Recognised LO licence.
Order Pickers raise the operator into the air, with the load, to place or retrieve stock into racking. Operators drive the equipment from a fenced in drivers platform, wearing a safety harness to prevent them from falling out.
The LO order picker training courses take place at Australian Forklift Training’s Blacktown Training Centre with new courses starting every two weeks.
Further information on the training services offered is available from Australia Forklift Training.
