Australian Forklift Training , a division of Australian Quality Training Institute (AQTI) is the official training provider for some of the leading names in Australian industry.
The Cert III Transport and Logistics (Road Transport) program is designed for people working as heavy vehicle or transport operators and is appropriate for new as well as experienced employees in the organisation.
AQTI believes in only using the best trainers with the most industry experience for all their courses.
The company works in partnership with TAG to deliver the Road Transport training program.
Traineeships for full-time employees have a nominal duration of 24 months. The duration of traineeship for part-time employees is determined by the Australian Apprenticeship Centre based on the amount of hours worked in a week.
There are no pre-requisites for enrolling into this program.
Successful completion of the Road Transport program requires 21 units of competency to be completed in total including 7 from Certificate I, 7 to 9 from Certificate II and the remaining 5 to 7 from Certificate III.
There are no core units of competency within this program.
AQTI and TAG’s trainers are well-versed in the Chain of Responsibility as a key issue that faces the transport industry.
Organisations can speak to AQTI/TAG representatives about what they need to include in training programs to address their requirements under the Chain of Responsibility.
A forklift licence can also be included as part of the traineeship units.
