CleanScene: The National Cleaning & Hygiene Expo, is a showcase for the latest in cleaning equipment and supplies. Australian Exhibitions & Conferences (AEC Pty Ltd) and the National Cleaning Suppliers Association (NCSA) are facilitating the exhibition.

With interactive product demonstration areas, CleanScene will allow visitors the opportunity to witness a whole new range of cleaning products, services and technologies.  Some products will be launched into the marketplace during the Show.

The inaugural CleanScene exhibition will be held alongside The Safety Show in Sydney in October.  Marie Kinsella, Managing Director of organiser Australian Exhibitions & Conferences (AEC) Pty Ltd said “This co-location is perfect for both the Safety and Cleaning industries. OHS legislation requires that all employers ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all employees.  Clearly a clean workplace can be a contributing factor when it comes to meeting those requirements.”

WorkCover NSW has designated May 2009 as Slips, Trips and Falls Month in an attempt to reduce injuries and raise awareness of risks. Their safety checklist, compiled to help reduce the risk of trips, slips and falls in the workplace, specifically indicates that employers should “pay particular attention to housekeeping and cleanliness, as well as cleaning and maintenance methods”.

The range of services, products and technologies on display at CleanScene will provide employers with fresh opportunities to clean and maintain their workplace in their continuing effort to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for their employees.

“It is just common sense” continued Kinsella, “a cleaner workplace is, by definition, healthier and safer and really can help reduce those risks”.

Nayla, Oates and Powersweep are three of over 30 companies who have already confirmed their commitment to CleanScene.

CleanScene will also be of interest to industries requiring a high level of cleanliness and hygiene, such as healthcare, aged care, hospitality, food and beverage companies and the public sector.  It will also include feature areas, networking opportunities and live demonstration areas.

CleanScene: The National Cleaning & Hygiene Expo, will be held alongside The Safety Show at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park between 27 – 29 October 2009.
