Artarmon Joinery, a well- respected timber window manufacturer located in Sydney, recently commissioned Australian Dust Control to design and install a very large complete dust extraction system.
A Reverse Flow Chain Filter dust extraction system was designed for them with a total airflow allowance of 50,000 m3/hr. A large 75kw fan was incorporated into the design and a Variable Speed Drive was an added option ensuring optimum energy efficiency resulting in significant cost savings.
The complete Reverse Flow Chain Filter was fitted with twin silo storage bins to hold the waste material with a capacity in total of 50m3. These silos were fitted with clam- shells at the bottom and open up allowing the waste to be released into a truck that passes underneath the structure.
