Australian Dust Control Pty Ltd upgraded the dust extraction system at a large concrete batching plant in Nowra, NSW with a new reverse flow extraction system.
Commissioned by the concrete processing plant to replace and upgrade the existing reverse pulse system, Australian Dust Control designed and installed a new system consisting of an ASF4 reverse flow dust extraction system including all connecting ductwork, switchboard, 30kw extraction fan and a variable speed drive providing significant ongoing energy cost savings.
The reverse flow dust extraction system features a modular design to accommodate future requirements. An acoustic sound enclosure was additionally fitted around the 30kw extraction fan to minimise the noise to neighbouring buildings.
The new system includes two 1.5m² purpose built waste bins with only one bin used with the dust extractor at any time. Once the waste dust product enters the bin and fills up, it is replaced with the spare empty bin. The full bin is set aside and the waste product is allowed to set. Once the waste product has set the solid mass is emptied out with no dust and the bin is ready to be re-used.
Australian Dust Control offers comprehensive, flexible and energy-efficient design solutions to minimise workers’ exposure to dust.
